Consultative services, professional development workshops, blended and online learning, and support of technology innovation projects are a primary focus of the department. ETO also provides support for Microsoft Office software, eLearning software, Content Management System and instructional applications plus more.
ETO also oversees the Marion Scherner Leonhard Multimedia Lab, a professional development lab for faculty and staff. When workshops are not in session, the Lab is available for faculty and staff use or one-on-one support and training

Blackboard is used to deliver course content to students in online or face-to-face courses. Users of the system may log in at any time to access course materials and engage in conversations. Blackboard Learn connects faculty, students and staff anywhere, anytime there is an internet connection. Blackboard is used by faculty and students to share information and course materials, to engage in critical thinking activities and collaborate online. It is also accessible from a mobile device.
Blackboard Collaborate Web Conferencing
Engage learners in content, in real-time regardless of their location or device. Blackboard Collaborate is integrated with the Learning Management system to enhance the online and face-to-face experience.
Blackboard Mobile Learn takes interactive teaching and learning to the mobile device, giving students and teachers instant access to their courses, content, and communities anywhere. The App will runs on most mobile platforms.
Blackboard Portfolio Tool
Portfolios are an invaluable tool in academic and professional development. This informational workshop will introduce the Blackboard Portfolios tool and strategies for using it to help students collect and organize artifacts representative of their achievements in a cohesive and personalized format.
The University adopted Panopto for the purpose of sharing recorded course content within the confines of a secure and protected learning environment and not through a public forum.

Atomic Learning Online Training Resources
Atomic Learning is an online training resource that is available 24/7 to all FSU faculty, staff, and students. This 20 minute webinar will introduce you to Atomic Learning and its library of training videos and other resources on academic and workplace skills, FSU systems, and over 200 common software applications. This information session will also discuss how you can share specific Atomic Learning content with students and colleagues directly through your Blackboard courses and organizations.
